My Sauces
Taste the Uniqueness of my Marinara Sauce

Marinara derives from the Italian word for sailor, marinaro. The literal translation means “sailor’s style”. Did you know that marinara sauce originated in the Naples area during the 16 century?
The Spanish brought the tomato back to Europe, where it was introduced into the Spanish kingdom of Naples around 1550 and became a popular delicacy. It took about 200 years before the tomato became popular throughout the rest of Europe.
